Recreation Ministry

The purpose of the Recreation Ministry is to see and touch the Gainesville and surrounding areas for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and ministry and to present to athletes, coaches, members and the community the challenges and adventures of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

Mt. Carmel Recreation Core Ministry Values:
We will demonstrate a sincere commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.

*   Integrity
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.( Philippians 4:8)

*   Serving
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. (Galatians 5:13)

*  Teamwork
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. (Romans 12:5)

*  Excellence
We will honor and glorify God in all we do. (Colossians 3:23-24)
